My name is Loren Lung, I am in my fifties and happily married to a wonderful woman named, Wendy. We have three grown children and one grandchild.
I am, first and foremost, a follower of Jesus Christ. I am a member of the independent Church of Christ / Christian Church of the restoration movement. I currently minister as a small mountain church. I love to preach and teach the Word of God and to encourage others as they follow Jesus. I have been a minister, youth minister, Bible teacher, camp counselor, preacher, missionary, and houseparent. I have also led music when there was no one else who would raise prayer and praise to the Lord (The Bible says, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord”, it didn’t say it had to be perfect or in tune. LOL! Just give your best to the Master.)
My wife has faithfully served by my side for 32 years. She has inspired me and encouraged me to walk faithfully with the Lord and serve him wherever he leads… and oh what a journey this has been so far. I can’t wait to see what is next.

Haven’t gotten a Devotion from you since March 29. I look forward to reading your devotions every day at work and often share them with a friend of mine in jail.

I subscribe to your posts. Interesting perspective. I’m on a similar path, but from a different place. Just lost 21 pounds and 5.5% body fat (now at 4%). I’m 57 and fit but it’s a wild ride.
