Psalm 100:5 – For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
We are blessed. God is faithful. Of all the promises that he has made not one has been broken. I rest assured that God will be there for me no matter what the problem may arise.
I was watching a television show where a man was going through a bit of bad luck. His friends had abandoned him. His wife had left him. His boss had fired him. He turned to his dog and said, “At least I still have you”. The dog was watching a poodle out the window and suddenly took off at the doggy door leaving the man to stand alone in the now empty house. It was tragic but funny.
Over the years I have had many faithful friends and associates. But there have been times when they have failed me. But God is faithful and he has not let me down. I count on him when the road is too hazardous or tough for me. He is there. He answers my prayers. He gives me hope. He holds the future in his hands.
When it comes to my faith I have seen God do incredible things. I praise him and worship him for his love, goodness, and faithfulness that endures forever and ever. God has saved me through the blood of his Son, Jesus Christ. He have given me abundant life here on earth and has promised eternal life beyond. How wonderful a hope and promise that is to rely on when things aren’t going the way I would like them to go.
I brought God with me in my weight loss journey because things change. The Weight Watcher’s group leader that I loved so much retired. Then our group near Plymouth closed. My pay was cut and I had to quit Weight Watchers for a while. Things are constantly changing and it’s hard to count on anything. But God is faithful. It was he that helped me start this blog to continue my journey even if I wasn’t with Weight Watchers. And when I moved, it was God who moved me to a church where there was a Weight Watchers leader attending. Before long, I was back with Weight Watchers. God has carefully guided my steps even in such a small matter like a weight loss journey.
Dear Heavenly Father, I praise and worship you for your love and goodness. You are forever faithful and I am grateful for your steadfast love and guidance. Thank you for being there for me in times of trouble and it times of joy. Thank you for guiding me in matters of faith and matters of life. O God, Thank you for salvation. Thank you for Jesus. Thank you for your Spirit. Thank you for your Word. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
